Milmyeon on Geoje Island — Woomyeonga
Found a great noodle place on Geoje Island (south coast of Korea) called Woomyeonga. This one was seriously good.

What is milmyeon? Milmyeon (밀면) is a chilled wheat-noodle soup from the Busan/Gyeongsang region — a southern cousin of the famous naengmyeon, but made with wheat flour instead of buckwheat, so the noodles come out bouncier and smoother. Perfect summer food.

I had the mul-milmyeon (물밀면, “water” version with icy broth). The broth is clear but surprisingly rich, topped with cucumber, sliced pork, and half a boiled egg.

They serve extra broth and dadaegi (다대기 — spicy seasoning paste) on the side, so you tune the bowl yourself: stir in dadaegi to bring the heat up, pour broth to cool it back down. Great system.
If you ever drive around Geoje Island in summer, a bowl of milmyeon is the move.
