They flew close to the hands holding snacks, and for a while I watched the birds more than the sea.</p> <p>The seagulls followed the boat beneath a clear blue sky, while a long trail of white wake stretched behind us. The weather was excellent, making the colors of the sea and islands look especially vivid.</p>
